Today I unblocked my sunroof drain, luckily it was the drivers side carpet that was a bit damp, suprised how much gunk came out of the tube but all clear now.

[yep ..I know what your going through Wink
6 months I've owned it and so far ..
De - tangoed lights
Supercharged grille
Cubby fridge
Retro fit sat Nav /reverse camera
Colour coded bumpers and arches
D4 rear lights
Transmission flush
new wheels
New steering wheel
New gear knob
Mirror cover and door handles colour coded
Black and silver badges
. Rolling Eyes ... The Mrs thinks I've gone mad ..
quote="D16PJM"]So after approximately 6 weeks of ownership I have been working through my list of things to do, so far I have

DE TANGO LIGHTS
FITTED D4 STYLE GRILLE
FITTED D4 REAR LIGHTS
HAD THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED
EGR BLANK
BAS REMAP
COLOUR CODED HANDLES AND MIRRORS
DAB ADAPTOR FITTED
HEKO WIND DEFLECTORS

it is booked in for the 8th of next month to have the arches colour coded, I have a set of side steps and mud flaps in the garage ready to fit

I know my car is not to everyone's taste but it is only used to cart my kids around and will probably never even see a muddy field

fitted the wind deflectors today and also made a trickle charge lead that goes around the engine bay and has the connector down by the grille so I don't have to keep lifting the bonnet every trip.

That looks amazing, quite a transformation.

Can I ask, did you get yours repainted or did you purchase some d4 mouldings and paint them? I've heard mixed reports about d3 arches flexing and cracking.

I had my arches painted, if the correct prep and paint is used it will be fine, I have used this painter for years and he has never done me a bad job.

Fitted a retrimmed wheel, looks and feels much better but 1 small thing is as it is covered in slightly thicker material the buttons for the horn catch the air bag, will have a look to see if I can adjust them over slightly, much better than the one removed, the previous owner must of had hands like sand paper

one of my rear door locks wouldn't lock every time so I have replaced the lock today, all I will say is never again, you need very small hands to get the cable back on and the ability to see around corners, all done now and to be honest if I had to do it again it may be a bit quicker but wasn't pleasant.

I have bought another set of wheels but after driving it I am now not sure whether to leave it as is or get a set of 20s, my original plan was to put these on so I can get my 22s refurbed

I have just done a 200 mile run, brimmed the tank before and after and avaeraged just under 31mpg, I don't think that is too bad for a big old bus.

Replaced another door lock today, that is 2 of them that has started playing up so I imagine the other 2 cant be far behind, the fronts are easier to do than the back, first one I did was a nightmare but the drivers side front I did today wasn't too bad.

I have had an issue with my parking sensors since I have had the car, Geoff tried another module, I checked loom with a continuity test and I now have fitted 8 new sensors with no luck, I thought I had found the problem as when removing 2 of the front sensors they just fell apart.

only other options now is the 2 looms, any other ideas.
