Apologies for such a basic question;
What are the differences in standard spec for the XS and the HSE?
If there is a thread already (I searched and didn't see one) could anyone point me in the right direction
TIA D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Might depend on Model year;
Obvious ones on D4 for HSE over XS are;
Electric seats with memory, door handle mood lighting, glass panoramic roof, Xenons, 4x4 info screen, high end logic 7 audio, heated rear seats, front PDC.
Probably missed a few but when I was looking at 2010/11 models these were the key things.

Just curious. We have a couple of 2012 XS and HSE's at work that are coming to the end of their contract. They are generally big mileage but well looked after. I may take a look at the HSE's. D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

If it's of any interest, I was looking for SE/HSE but ended up with a XS. The spec has most of what I want but may have a few upgrades I wasn't expecting, rear camera, upgraded sound system but has the usual front/rear heated screens, heated seats, dual climate, xenons, etc ect. Has better looking front headlights too whereas only the HSE D3 had decent looking lights. She does have manual seats, but to be honest, they're pretty much spot on. You can have the 4x4 info screen added if you want. I'm very happy with my choice of spec.

For me - having had HSE and XS at the same time - the biggest most important difference is the seats. Forget the electics, the HSE seats are just soooo much more comfortable and better put together. The difference is vast. I'd take an HSE any day over an XS for that reason alone (and the reversing camera). The only thing about the HSE I wouldn't be happy with is the panoramic glass roof. It's great, and I loved it, but if it breaks it can be a complete and utter nightmare. PAGODA

+1 on the seats. When we bought, head said well-specced XS was the way to go, until say in both - the seats are so much better in the HSE. Worth the difference just for that.

The other big thing the HSE has over the XS is the keyless entry, which is useful especially when you have your hands full.
