Lower Suspension Arms & Inner Rack Joints

Hi Folks

Had my third MOT on my 2005 Discovery and had some suspension issues come up as advisories. The faults are described as;

"Nearside & offside front (inner track ball joint) track rod end ball joint has slight play."
"Nearside & offside front lower (rear bush) suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush."

These have been 'advisories' every year since the first time I put it in for MOT in Nov 2013. To be honest I have been waiting for the garage to fail the MOT on them and give me a chance to claim them under my 'Extra Care' Warranty Direct policy. WD have told me they definitely won't pay for the repairs until they fail but seem to hint that there may be a slight possibility that they may consider a claim in the event of failure of the parts.

The garage have quoted me £940 for the arms & £290 for the joints.

Not sure what to do. Bite the bullet and get it done through the garage, see if I can get it done cheaper elsewhere or hang on a bit?

Your views would be greatly appreciated.
