Discovery 3 Poor Interior Heating/ Heated Seat Query.

Hello Guys. Hope everyone is getting set for Christmas and the cold weather!!

Speaking of which, my heating in the Discovery does not blow very warm air. It is luke warm at best. Temp gauge is bang on level. Where should I start investigating?

Also, is it just me or does everyone else's heated seats reduce to 50% power after a couple of minutes?

Thanks Smile

Just out of interest, and to see if it's the same as mine, when your engine is up to temperature, switch the heating off completely, wait 5 seconds or so, then switch it back on to auto. Mine seems to be having a senior moment at startup and thinks it's warm enough. I was going to start a thread of my own when I saw yours pop up.

I've just tired that. No such luck, it appears we have a different problem! But thanks for the info.

It's rather annoying. I wonder could it be the thermostat, even though it reads perfect?

On the point of the heated seats reducing from full to half heat, that would appear to be normal, mine does it too.

Found this in the owner handbook:

"Press once to operate at a high level (both
indicators illuminate).

After a period based on cabin temperature,
the high level will end and one light will
extinguish."

Does the outside temp reading agree with the actual outside air temp?
