Diesel sounding petrol/gas at morning startup
I replaced the broken coolant fitting after overheating. But now, whenever I start it cold, or if I haven't been driving it throughout the day, it has a diesel sound upon startup. I have a petrol/gas LR3/Discovery 3, 2006 year.
There are no check engine lights, no loss of coolant, and it seems to work fine throughout the day. It's just the cold starting has got me worried. What could it be?

So it's the chain tensioner. I guess 171000+ miles will do it.
