Heated Front Windscreen, not!

Crying or Very sad Our 2006 HSE D3's front windscreen isn't defrosting. I have checked fuses and the spade connectors on the A-pillars, all are fine. Anything else you would suggest I check before heading for a local garage?

btw, the screen was replaced a couple of years back but not sure if worked at the time of replacement.

Sadly, I don't possess the necessary (knowledge or kit!) to check if there's power getting to the window. I assume a multi-meter is required?

other item is the relay, think its the same as for the air suspension, and poss somebody borrowed it Smile

if you pass by my area at any time, (windsor) i can plug a multimeter into the wire and that would let you know.

a silly question....

do say that your windscreen was replaced...

do you see a lot of very thin wires separated more or less 3 mm in your new windscreen??

maybe the replacement was non heated version...

Mine does work but there are several thick vertical stripes where the screen elements are broken so my windscreen looks like a pedestrian crossing, the main one is right in front of me Big Cry I can't afford a replacement, any ideas???

Was the engine running when you tested it?- if the battery is not fully charged the screen will not operate until the engine is running. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
