I got up close and personal with a bollard recently and it made a right mess of a rear door.
Just the one panel was trashed mercifully, but it would appear to be beyond any reasonable repair...
A straight swap / replacement sourced from a breakers yard sounds like it could be the best way forward and I might event have a go at swapping it myself.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a thread with some tips?

I don't know of a thread on it but I changed my NSR door following an 'incident' - albeit on a D3 - without any major issues.
I started by stripping all the parts I wanted from my original door - trim, windows etc - taking copious photos as I went.
I left the original hinges on the body and hung the replacement door before refitting all the trim etc.
The only thing I had to 'tweak' was the striker plate on the body to ensure the door closed cleanly.
I would recommend having a second pair of hands for lifting off / on as they're quite awkward but all in it took me a few hours one afternoon - I work at a leisurely pace with many tea / pee breaks.
For reference I used a Haynes manual. I see no ships........
