Clearly aimed at Mum for her school runs. If that's what is available when my agreement is up, I very much doubt I'll be looking at LRs.2016MY Discovery 4 Commercial , 3.0 SDV6 Auto, Santorini Black, side-steps, 510s.
Mods: LED interior lights. Front guard.
Soon: black grille, tinted windows.

I like it but it will be seriously out of my reach financially, can't see it starting at any less than £45k
TBH if that's going to be it i might as well get an Ariel Atom, i've got no chance of getting SWMBO & the kids in either of themPaul.

I don't know.... I don't think I like it..... the D3 and D4 looked like their own vehicle there has never been anything that looks similar and I think the new one looks to similar to the Evoque, And RR Sport and the Disco Sport and just looses its identity.
Whats the functionality of it going to be like? I love the fact I can fit 7 Adults in my D3 and still be comfortable. Will the new one match the carrying load in the boot?
I don't think I will be parting with my cash for one....

Disappointed. Not that I could afford one until the discovery 8 comes 'round. I just think it's going too far away from the 3/4 shape myself which yes ok I know that it's a new model and progress etc etc but I just think it looks too mumsy school run for me. I'll put me helmet on and hide in this here foxhole..... Jarrod

Don't think you need hide, really; a large chunk of the forum thinks the same way.
Still, we can only wait until it's revealed to pass full judgement. I can't see my reaction being any better than though.Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

It'll look great in the flesh and we'll all slowly come round and fall in love with it.
Sounds like I'll have a strong demand for my MY15 HSE Lux when it comes up for sale though MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Agree I think it looks like it will have a fair bit of presence about it in the flesh and will retain the Command driving position.
I never had a disco 1 or 2, I came straight into the 3 when it came out. I know people who hated the 3 for years, my first was an S and they said it was way to posh and had way to many fancy gadgets to be a proper disco. 10 years on and what are they driving now? guess
Like Dubbs I don't mind the reservations as I will have a MY16 fully loaded Lux for sale MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I don't think there'll be a commercial model so my MY15 commercial might become sought after. I think its replacement will be a Defender if they get it right MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

Can you see the new Defender having air suspension though? thats a big selling point on the D4 for me as a heavy tower.

I jumped from a D1 200tdi to a D3 HSE. The difference in them is unreal. It's like having a luxury yacht after having an old skiff with a dodgy outboard motor. Although to be fair an old skiff probably lets in less water than my D1. Probably had better heaters in the skiff too. Jarrod
