2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Bonatti Grey

C1A20-64 suspension fault code

Hi,

I've just bought a D4 and on the way home I tried the suspension and it worked fine, then 100yds down the road I hot a warning that suspension at normal height only. I couldn't access the codes then but when I got home I did and got the following

Any suggestions or is it just a case of getting the soapy water out and looking for leaks?

Was it actually slow to adjust height? If you were playing with it alot it's possible you emptied the air tank and it was slow to refill due to that? I'd clear the code and give it a day or two. Maybe even pull the suspension fuse so you can discount the possibility of a leak.

Literally up once to off road then back down to standard height. I'm going to see if it drops over night, but it looks like it's probably the air drier in the compressor, which I do have a service kit for. Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Do you have the Hitachi or AMK compressor pump? Do you know how many miles the compressor has covered? My money is on a worn out compressor.

I had the same problem on my AMK. Filter kit did nothing. Turned out to be a worn piston rings within my 95,000 mile compressor. Long story short the simplest solution was fitting Chinese AMK compressor copy (£120 from memory). Four months and all still dandy. V easy to swop. This link will help

Hi,
I'm inclined to think it'd the compressor but not had chance to check the type. I have a used AMK that I'm going to service and I have a spare Hitachi service kit, so fingers crossed one of those will cure it, but worse case it's a new compressor. Everyone slates the cheap compressors and I see why, but I put one on my wife's RRS about 5-6 years ago and it's still going. Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
