About deflating suspension |
|
Hello Guys.
I have a question for You.
Can the suspension be damaged if You deflate the suspension when the car
is on its wheels (not on stands)?
I have a "friend" that deflated the suspension as a part of a demonstration of the
GAP IID BT tool.
I have imagined that the ride of the car has gotten "harsher" after that, I
also noted that the lower gaiters on the rear suspension had slipped down to
the bottom of the suspension legs, so that the driveshaft has chafed on them
and that the band/clip that should hold the gaiter is no longer there..
I pushed them up about 10cm when I observed it.
Has he/we made a "cockup", or is it only my imagination?

I would guess there is either an internal bump stop or the shock acts as the travel limiter.
I doubt it would hurt anything.
