pre heater remore problem |
|
Hi All
I have tried my remote control for the diesel pre heater today and it does not seem to be working it just flashes quickly on the remote fob, this is a factory fit option from new,
I have set the timed climate on the dash and it woks fine its just the remote fob is not working I have changed the battery in the fob but its still the same can anyone advise what the fault may be and how it can be sorted

The fob may have lost its link with the receiver. If so, you need to remove the FBH fuse in the engine bay fuse box to remove power from the receiver for at least 5 seconds (I think it is fuse no. 28 - check in your handbook).
You then replace the fuse and after 2 seconds but not more than 6 seconds, press the OFF button on the fob for at least one second. That should pair it again.
Further info here although it is not specific to the Discovery.
