Compressor Cover
I have noticed that my air suspension compressor is very noisy, when I looked under the car I can see that the cover is broken and some of the foam insert is exposed (might have done it on th peaks run). I read an earlier post about mud etc getting in and making it noisy but before I take a look should I order a replacement cover or is it merely cosmetic?2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

CFB... it depends on the scale of damage ...there's already a penny sized drain hole in the bottom casing if your problem is of a similar size then I wouldn't worry too much TBH 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

looks like it has just been pushed up. Remove the cover and have a look to see if there is any damage. put a small hole in mine and I fixed it by welding it with a soldering iron.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

top half stuffed. How did you manage that put a hole in my bottom half when I sat on a rock.
new one is cheap as chips. dread to think how much it would be here. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Our proposed UK distributor seems to have gone on sabbatical...
We are really trying hard to get him lined up. We've got the shop rolling, but if the UK order isn't submitted soon, the projected UK delivery date may not line up well with the Morocco trip, as the first few batches will be sold to US costumers if the UK order is not submitted soon.

I drove over the cover for my compressor (don't ask how!), and stuck it back with superglue, and has been fine since! IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!

Ok so I have got the new compressor top cover (thanks Nick) but how on earth do I fit it? The lower cover is easy to remove (3 bolts) but the top piece is wedged between the compressor and the floor of the car. The only way I can see to get it out is to totally remove the compressor, pipes wiring etc which I am not going to do of course.
Anyone know an easier way?2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

If you have to replace the compressor or just clean inside...
