Is it possible to programme an ignition security code?

My BMW E38 740i has the option to set a 4 digit code to secure engine ignition, as a further security measure for the car.

Essentially, you insert the key and attempt to start, at which point you are promoted to enter a code on the radio numeric buttons.

Does the D3 have a similar function?
