Anyone have a dash cam?
Does anyone have a dash cam fitted? Looking for something that would automatically start with the engine, and require no user intervention, any suggestions?

A lot of people on here have the Blackvues as they were the best at the time, but there are now quite a few cheaper options available which are just as good. DG had one of the newer one which looked like great quality but I can't remember the name of it Cheers Ian

I have a Nextbase 402g from Halfrauds
Very good..GPS the lot...easy set up...on and off with ignition...no problem.
Would highly recommend

I have the Novatek A118 1080p. I like the low profile wedge shape for discreet installation and only £45.00.
I also purchased a 32GB class 10 memory card, add a fuse mini blade and a car charger socket. This is connected to a fuse behind glove box so it powers on/off with the ignition. The additional items were about £12.00.Discovery 4 HSE Santorini Black 2012

I was given one of these as present. For just over £10, it's remarkably good but nothing like the high end models I'm sure.

To be honest I've never read the instructions and mine is not connected to the permanent live

I have installed blackboxes of the korean manufacturer Lukas HD (Type 7900 ACE) with built in Sony Exmore sensors.
The cams have parking- and emergency mode, switch automatically on and of with ignition and both work fine for over two years now.
For changing the settings (e.g. switching to DST), a PC or Notebook in combination of the Lukas Software is needed.
I don't know the blackvues but can recommend the Lukas cams.
