RLD'S Hidden Winch Mount
Spend all day with Ray who has been fabricating a hidden winch mount for me .
The mount has been made from scratch ( although credit to Chris Tyler who has been very helpful ..and his pictures) and is from 6mm steel.
As well as the main mount , Ray has also made the washer bottle bracket and the suspension valve bracket.
The only problem we came across was the lever for free spooling on the winch was fouling part ot the body frame. We have come up with a new lever solution , but diddn't have time today .
The winch bracket is almost finished , just a couple of drain holes to be drilled and some cleaning up and painting left.
Just like to say Ray is a great chap who certainly knows his stuff.Had a good look round at all his mods , trailers , roofracks , towbars but to name a few ..all top notch work.
Thanks again Ray for all your time ( and beer ) and cant wait to get it finished and fitted.
Few pics of work in progress
