Frosty Mornings
Hi all
Just a quick one learnt the hard way but i'm sure most will already know, on frosty nights don't forget to turn off the auto wipers, they will turn on as soon ignition is turned on and destroy your blades on the ice. Spending a fortune getting every thing working as it should.

with all the cleaverness the disco has i can't understand why they can't link the software with the frost symbol so it asks you to confirm or something in auto mode before ripping blades off XC90 T8 R Design Pro

^^^ Agreed.
Same could be said for linking the sunroof with the rain sensors!

Aww give them a break - they can't even work out how to keep the clock correct using the radio .

They can't even get the outside temperature right, something the rest of the world has been doing for hundreds of years.

I know! What's that about?!? RDS, GPS, and DAB all carry time signals but the LR head units seem incapable of using it.

I had a Ford Focus C-Max brand new in 2004, which had a slightly earlier version of the touch-screen nav that is in the D3 and can confirm that also failed miserably to get the time right. It was a bone of contention for many Ford owners, as it ignored RDS & GPS.
My current 2014 A6 allows me to set the time to sync with GPS but previous Audis seemed to ignore RDS too... I think its a more common fault than you realise.Cheers,
Gareth

Not a problem on mine, I've put the BlackVue behind the mirror, just under the rain sensor & it never freezes there now, there's always a little clear area around the camera. The camera doesn't feel warm, but it must be just enough.
