Iphone 6 handsfree mic (mike) cuts out |
|
63 plate D4 - I generally have the following connected:
Iphone 4s plugged in to centre storage usb connection, used occasionally for music (only)
Tomtom on dash, connected via hotspot to iphone 6 for traffic updates
iphone 6 in phone holder charging on dash connected to car via bluetooth
The issue I get is that if on a handsfree call at some point (which seems to vary) my mic turns off so they can't hear me though I can still hear them. This sometimes happens immediately, sometimes after a minute or so.
I've tried turning 'hotspot' on the phone off in case it's something to do with the Tomtom calling for traffic info but that doesn't seem to cure it. I haven't tried unplugging the iphone 4, which has only just occurred to me!
But aside from trying unplugging different devices is this an issue that anyone recognises and can shed any light on?
Thanks.

Make sure the phone plugged into the centre cubby point has Bluetooth switched off. Also the other phone clean the headphone socket with a cotton bud, if it is dirty the phone switches the mic off to allow use of the mic on the headphones MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White
