Disco3 with a bunch of D2's ++ in the snow, high country Vic |
|
Spent the weekend being more and more impressed with the D3! A trip to Victoria's high country, about 3 hours NE of Melbourne, staying in Jamieson, and a day trip up to the summit of Mt Skene filled in the weekend nicely.
About 10 D2's, a couple of Prados, a Navara and yours truly spent the day driving up to 1550m, the highest point in the road from Jamieson to Licola. This road is not cleared at all, so it's up to you to make tracks as best you can.
I thought we were stuck a couple of times, but no - the D3 just ploughed on! With not very aggresive rubber, and no rear diff lock, it behaved like something much more heavily equipped.
Very happy! Pics at: http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1340
cheers,
