D3 for Offroading
I've been doing more and more off-road excursions in my Defender but would like to buy an early D3 to do the same (so all the family can come along) I have a D4 but it's too "precious" to take off-road.
Anyway I found the following listed locally and while I've read a lot on here I've not been able to find anything about the issues described as follows:
2005
Genuine white
96k on clocks
No mot
Was taken as px and parked in shed
Went to it now and it doesnt drive.
Been told could be oil and filter in box or torque converter.
Air suspension working etc
No other issues other than driving?
It drives a bit when warms up.
Ive no interest in fixn it.
Full log book
3 keys
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Possible easy fix or keep looking....
Thanks in advance
Al

If that's "genuine white", what does fake white look like?

I bet if you look at angles you could make out POLICE written down the side where they've removed the stickers. Genuinely happened to a mate of mine who bought a D2. Jarrod
Current : D3 2007 HSE - AKA the lemon
-beanie grille
-detango with led bulbs
-club body off rebuild. TWICE.
Could be the selector linkage seized. I doubt the tc has gone by just being stood.
Worst case it's £3k or so for a refurbished box.Mark.
2006, D3 SE Auto - gone but not forgotten.
