Hard wiring Blackvue which easy 12v source to access?

Hi all.

Had my Blackvue DR600W (1 channel) plugged into the cigar lighter socket in my previous D4 and although the cabling was generally well hidden, it looked a bit gobby around the socket area.

With my new D4 Very Happy I would like to completely hide the wiring and wondered which might be the most accessible 12v point/wire to piggy back onto and be well out of sight - without dismantling the dash!

Would like it just to be powered when ignition is on only and off when the ignition is off and the car is locked.

Thanks chaps for any information to make it easy. Whistle

Mine is plugged into a power magic and then into the glove box fuse box via two piggy back fuses. No wires on view. The D4 should should be the same although fuse positions will be different

I followed these instructions on my last D4 and my new one but apart from butchering a fuse I used an Add a fuse, it looks complicated but it only took me about half an hour to do it Thumbs Up

Used the a similar idea to Hairy Dans for the power but put a 12v accessory socket and USB in the top cubby.

Thanks thus far men.

My wiring will be hidden behind the front passenger door post rubber/trim and behind the edge of the head lining trim (as before) with just a short show of cable dropping down to the BV on the LH side of the mirror.

Do like the idea of the 'Add a Fuse', not come across these before, which fuse would you recommend plugging it into or does it not matter as long as the correct fuses are replaced/used.....warranty and all that.

Fuse on the edge of the box somewhere so the the AaF fuses don't foul?

Thanks.
