Can you tell if the timing belt has been changed?
Hi all, I was under the impression when I bought my D3 that the timing belt had been done as There was 200k km on the clock, but I had it in the garage for a service the other day and was told there's no evidence of the timing belt being done. (No tipex date from previous mechanic) So now I'm driving on egg shells waiting for an explosion! There's 223k km on her now and potentially never had a belt change. I can't get in contact with the previous owner either. I obviously would like to save the hassle of replacing it if I don't need to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

About £550 to get it done, or add another '0' to that if not and it snaps

It's almost time/ready for a second change anyway It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
