Sat Nav screen and stereo controls frozen

Started the car this morning and the stereo controls along with the sat nav screen are not responding. The radio will turn on but no sound and buttons to control sound and FF etc are dead, as are steering wheel controls.

The sat nav screen just has a permanent LR logo on it and both buttons are dead.

I am told that if I;

1. switch ignition on
2. remove relavant fuse
3. switch off and on again

This should 'reboot' and clear the fault

Any advice appreciated.

Nick

I had this just once. I simply removed the key, locked the car, unlocked & started the car again. All was well & it's not repeated since.

I was with a friend of mine in Yorkshire last month when this happenned to his D3. The dealer disconnected the battery and held the two free terminals together for a few seconds before reconnecting. Hey presto! It's worked fine ever since Thumbs Up
