Any idea what this part is?

For reasons I won't bore you with, I removed the centre trim section on my D4 between the cubby box and the ashtray and found this item mounted below the ash tray. Does anyone know what it is?

I don't have keyless entry so is it the key sensor for allowing engine starting?

Its the wireless antenna for your key fob. Just googled under 5E08x107. D3 TDV6 S MY2005

So does that mean I can activate keyless entry using my IID tooL?

Can't try now as i'm not allowed out to play because SWMBO says I've got to help get the house ready for an invasion of five of her family this weekend including three women who always take far too long in the toilet in the mornings. It won't be the first time I have had to nip out to behind the garden shed in my dressing gown for a desperate pee Sad

Unfortunately no, as you will not have the keyless entry antennas fitted.
