I'd like to upgrade my grill from my D3 look to a D4 look. Any modifications needed or it just fits in the same?
Also I'd like my grill to have some blue (Buckingham blue is my car colour) in it. I feel chrome is a little tacky when too much and I'd like the look to be more classy. Any ideas or tips and advise on where to get the grill from?
I'm removing the chrome wing mirror covers and replacing them with colour coded ones when I get some money in or shall I just spray the current chrome ones?
Am also going to de tango soon.
Thanks guys.

Hi beanie.
This is the grill that came with the car when I bought it.
I can get hold of a dreamer and I think I'd be able to use it well, not sure lol. Could you send me a link please I'll have a look at you how to and see if I think I can do it.

I really like the look of the original D3, it's a good looking car and chrome should have no place on a LR, but that actually looks good
As it's no longer original, I'd de-tango and leave well alone 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐
2021 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Hi red Merle.
I was looking closely today and I myself am starting to like it. Easy to change do in the future I could always have a different look.
I am going to remove the chrome wing mirror covers and eventually have colour coded covers and remove the chrome head light washer covers in hope that removing the two pairs will make it less takky.
My grill isn't d4 is it? Just a d3 chrome???
And yes de tango will be done soon when I have time and also have the halo drl fog light rings I want to install.
This is the grill that came with the car when I bought it.

I quite like the chrome grill (mine came on the car when i got it too) but it does stand out a bit more on the darker coloured cars... Detango is a must i think to go with it, i must get round to doing mine...

My last d3 had the same grill but in silver, i wasn't a fan with the buckingham blue so i sprayed the whole grill black and i thought it looked loads better. I also de-tangoed the lights at the same time
