Alarm Driving Me Crazy !!
Our Disco 4 XS having just turned 3 year old (3 year & 1 week to be exact) has just decided to start giving us false Alarm triggers. A friend of ours who has exactly the same car, same model & same year has had exactly the same issues with his alarm... Anybody else experiencing this?
We have found out that one of the heated mirrors has failed which strangely our friend had too..
Makes you think that Land Rover are programming faults to kick in at 3 years & 1 week !! lol

Usually it is just the bonnet switch located under the righthand latch (ie UK driver's side) so give it a clean with WD40 or similar.
Oh and I see this is your first post - so a belated welcome to the forum!

Cleaning the bonnet catch certainly made a big difference when I was having problems a while back, although it did have a dealer visit as well but they couldn't find any problems.
Welcome as well!Andy

Thanks Guys that sounds like it could be it because the car had been serviced that same day so obviously the bonnet had been up

Definitely sounds like the catch then, as the first time it happened on mine I'd put screen wash in earlier in the day.
Although it did also happen after driving in heavy rain, but again that probably made the catch wet.Andy
