Suspension - how to tell what's knackered |
|
So the old girl is feeling her age (56 plate hse with 110k), I'm considering a fit suspension overhal but I'm not massively spanner handy. Big question is how do you tell what's knackered? I've got no rattles etc but do have advisories for all the arms on the recent mot. What else do I need to check? Eg steering, panhard rods etc?
ta! (Wonder if I'm brave enough to diy it!) 56 HSE

Anti Roll Bar Bushes and Front Wishbones are common problems - take to a trusted MOT station with a transverse movement plate not sure if that is the right term bit it will show up any dodgy bushes.
The Wishbones will almost certainly need cutting off the nuts and bolts seize and the ARB bolts will be really difficult to remove.
I have a great garage that do this stuff for £50 an hour it makes no sense for me to even try. 15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver
05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver - Retro-fitted Leather.
