At last I have succumbed and decided to get the clutch replaced on my 07 manual S
It is within the VIN range of the TSB issued on the burning clutch for this MY and LR have agreed to look at the plate on removal as I have asked them if they will make a goodwill gesture ( if you don't ask you don't get !) especially as it was inspected several years ago and they confirmed the burning smell but felt it did not warrant replacing at that time
Whilst they are replacing the clutch ( plate, Slave cylinder and flywheel ) is there anything else I should consider asking them to do while they have the car
Thanks in anticipation

Access to the rear timing belt is great when the gearbox is out and the brake pipes going down the bulkhead is easy to get at , the small clutch pipe on the side of the box that is connected to the slave cylinder on mine is a bit iffy with corrosion and I don't think it can be changed with the gearbox in place so I wish I had changed my one as a precaution , and the nuts on the turbo can be swapped if they are rusted to make future change easyer , up to you if you want to do any of that , it's what I would do if I was in there
