Journey from hell to get to hotel in Hamburg. First 625 miles were fine, then some eejit decided to close the A7 but just let peeps find out when they got there. Took me 90 minutes to do 3kms to the Airport exit then persuade TomTom to take me the non A7 route to the Hotel.

Never has dinner been so welcome, thought I'd share it with y'all. Thumbs Up

Will post pics from today later but off to bed as up early to get Chunnel crossing early tomorrow evening. Then my own bed. And darkness, I have so missed darkness. Embarassed

PS OK, sleep is over rated.

Today was Big Bridge Day

Bridge 1 from Sweden to Denmark, it liberated £29 from my CC act.

Next was the Great Belt Bridge from one Danish island to the next. Only £21 was extracted from the plastic.

Then finally the Little Belt Bridge to the mainland and, you guessed it, it was free!!

Next bit of excitement was getting to Neumunster for diesel at 84ppl!!!! The trip was reset 890 miles ago in deepest darkest central Sweden and was confidently claiming this:

Needless to say this was reality.

She then had the gaul to tease me with

And peeps wonder why we call it the lie-o-meter!! Laughing

Just read this full thread from the comfort of my own duvet (and at times had to snuggle up at all the cold & windy bits).

You've saved me a fortune Del, as your trip has been so well documented I don't need to bother going, it's as if I've been there already Laughing

Enjoy the remainder ...... and safe home Thumbs Up

Ron, you'd love it. Thumbs Up

In the Chunnel terminal with the heaving throng of humanity and blagged a 2hr earlier crossing. Not much happened on the road, great driving through Germany & Holland on a Sunday. The only thing of note worth photographing is as below. Couldn't use the drive through bit for 2 reasons, I needed a wee and they have this funny thing of putting the steering wheel on the wrong side. Rolling Eyes

But I can confirm the in-shop produce were just as good, big almond biscuit, apple turnover and croissant were all sacrifice to find out. Thumbs Up

Have they no standards on these trains? Stuck behind this dude in his rusty old (09 plate) Deafner. http://www.jamesjohnstone.com Maybe I should tell him that the website on his spare wheel cover doesn't work but he can still be found via Google. Whistle Ignore that, hadn't read it right. Artefact of a knackered mind. Embarassed

Plus he lets his sprogs climb on the bonnet!! Shocked Shocked

Back hope, most excellent road trip over. Thumbs Up Was a great trip and now knackered and looking forward to my own bed.

Last couple of pics.

Couldn't have done it without lots of this stuff. Those two cups are going to earn a well deserved dish washering, apologies to any life forms living in them.

And here's the old girl back to normal, apart from the fridge. Don't have the energy to take it out, that may wait til tomorrow in the rain.

You must share your ‘sim card/data‘ plans when you‘re back - your internet access seems to be excellent....expensive?

Missed this. No data was cheap as chips! Got 3 x PAYG sims for three (UK) and used their "Feel at Home" roaming, worked brilliantly in Norway and what little distance I did in Finland. I only used 2 sims so have one for another jolly planned later in the summer. Each sim was £4 (1gb/30 days) from Currys as opposed to £10 from three or £20 for 3gb/90 days.

However coverage in Sweden was rubbish, even on main roads. You'd get an island of coverage at a town and then nothing til the next one. Rolling Eyes

I've never done it, but, it looks quite easy if you have the YouTube app on your iPad ..
Download the iPad app,
Log in,
Click the three horizontal lines in the top left corner
Click 'my channel'
Next to your name on the right it says upload, click it.
Then click allow access to your video files,

I imagine at that point you should be able to upload them
