Just a quick question - does anybody know if it is possible to change the language settings of the D3 so that all messages and menus can be displayed in another language (for example English instead of Spanish)?
I did this with the (soon-to-be-traded-in-for-a-D3-at-the-end-of-this-week) Peugeot and I'm guessing it's also possible in the D3 but can't find any reference to it in the instruction manuals etc....
I'm looking for info on doing this on a D3 SE with the euro-spec base radio.
Cheers,
Paul

Paul,
If you have SatNav then it's easy through the nav screen. But I'm sure that Euro SE doesn't have SatNav so then it's a dealer job.
Perhaps ask them before you collect it. Mrs Jones ? We've come for your Liver

You should be able to get your dealer to set it before delivery if it's new.
There's a language setting for the Sat Nav, not sure about the other bits though. Bodsys Brake Bible

It's an ex-dealer car so not new.....12000km on the clock....continental SE spec is just the bog-standard base radio/CD without Navigation or even Hi-Line sound system....
If it requires dealer intervention then I reckon it may be best left alone, but if there is an easy adjustment then I would love to know so that it can give me the famous suspension error messages in English

still, if you're getting it from teh dealer (new or not) then they shoudl be able to make the relevant changes for you. Just a setting on the on-board computer they have access to it. Bodsys Brake Bible

Paul,
I'm 99% certain there's no easy fix other than dealer solution. I tried with my previous Euro SE and stuck with it in French, a good learning exercise.......
Now I've cheated and changed it on the HSE through the Nav screen. If you change this or the other way then it automaically changes the Info centre messages into the new language.
Basically it's dealer job or learn Spanish i'm afraid. Mrs Jones ? We've come for your Liver

There's no problem with having the messages in Spanish, it's just that it wouldn't feel right to have such a fundamentally 'British' car talking to me in any other language
I was asking for a 'quick change' type of thing so that I don't have to go back to the dealers and pay them if I ever decide to sell/change the car in the future......
OK....so it would seem that there's no DIY solution....I'll have to see how charitable the dealer is feeling when they ask for 40K+ euros to be transferred into their account before delivery
Cheers guys,
Paul

Speak to them today and they'll have enough time to plan it in. Just tell them that it is a requirement. Shouldn't take long for them to do this. Bodsys Brake Bible
