Is this the Automatic Gearbox air vent?
A question for you techies, can someone tell me what this is? The photo is taken from the left of the engine bay and shows a 5mm pipe sticking up with a loose top, between the coolant bottle top hose and the edge of the radiator.
Is this the air vent for the auto box, or the diffs or something? Are there others I can't see?

Yes - although in your case it's probably not wise to walk through anything that deep first!
