Another Suspension Warning Message |
|
Guys,
My vehilce has now started to come up with the same message as mentione in the other thread.
As described it is cleared by turning off and rebooting the system as normal startup.
However mine also has a picture of the vehicle in the left of the display with arrows eiher side of the icon in yellow.
I am assmuming that this is some form of tipping over type warning but was unsure.
The really interesting point is what is causing the message to come up.
It is triggerd only when going over speed bumps at a diagonal, other types of bumps are not affecting it.
Anyone else seen this, and had it fixed by the dealer?
Thanks in advance.

Amber warnings are cautions - continue but seek assistance.
Sounds to me like a sensor may be faulty - triggered by the severity of the speed bump rise and fall.

Have you tried riding the bumps at a very slow speed and see if they do it then?

Brian,
Yes see the text in my message, but no other bumps are not affecting it so far.
This has not happen before, but it has been parked at Heathrow Airport for 15 nights whilst I was on vacation.
Not sure if that has anything to do with the fault though.

Nige.
The arrows I think as you describe are list to either side, so as Winger says it may be sensor (s)

The icon mentioned is the suspension failure warning light, It has arrows for visual effect I think, it is either red or yellow. As said, yellow caution, red stop.
