brake pipes in battery bay |
|
Has anyone moved the brake pipes that are on the left hand side of the battery bay in the D4 - 2 pipes run into a distribution box with 4 smaller ones coming off it. I have cleared all the electronics out, but the battery i have is slightly larger than an optima and the pipes rub the side. Is it a matter of cracking the nut, moving the pipe, and retightening, or will that spark a flurry of faults, air in the system, etc etc......

I had to move mine a little. A bit of brake fluid oozed out and then retightened. Everything seems fine.
I put some foam between where the brake pipes are and the new battery to reduce any wear (I hope).
