Finally Done My LR3 Fog Light Mod
Been meaning to get around to this little job for a while now, finally had a few hours to spare today so decided to go for it and fit my Led rings to the front fog lights.
Sidelight - red/black = White wire
Indicator - green/red = Short Yellow wire
Right light wiring:
Indicator - green/white = Long Yellow wire
Power wiring:
Red fused wire to battery positive
Black wire to battery negative or chassis earth
Blue wire (switched live) to F9 in the fuse box with a piggy back fuse.
There is a green wire which you can wire to the horn so when you sound the horn the DLR lights will strobe, I did not wire this up.
The indicator wiring is also optional, and the LEDs do not turn off when the indicators flash as with some wiring kits, these actually flash with the indicators.

The lights dim to 50% when headlights are turned on, also they stay on for 30 seconds after the car has been turned off.

I'd like to do a similar thing. Rather annoyingly I've had to blow a big pile of D3 mod cash on a new heating oil tank and a rather expensive Mot.
I've just picked up some 18" SE rims at a bargain £50 These will be painted gloss black and shod with Scorpio ATR's when funds allow. Otherwise I'm going to do some subtle cosmetics and a V8 brake upgrade. One thing is certain. I really love the D3. Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

I actually quite like the tango look. So many D3's get a de tango that the tango looks uncommon. The rims came via a cheeky Ebay bid from chap in St Austell so zero travelling was involved. I'm looking forward to seeing them in shiny black, filling the arches.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Picking up an old post. Would really like to fit DLR's.
That wiring loom you pointed to on fleabay is still there but can you point to what halo lights you used and how they fit into existing fogs (if that is what you did). Cheers.
