Black Side Step recommendation

Hi there,

Just recently switched to a discovery 4 and very happy with it. I'm looking to get some side steps as the wife and folks struggle to get in.

Don't have a budget to go for orignal parts.

I do like the look of these, Bearmach steel in black.
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-VTD500010BM

Just not sure if they will look okay, also no information on brackets supplied and they seem to only have two mounting points, so questions on fitting and strength.

If anyone has bought these, I would be grateful to know what you think of them.
Or if anyone has found an alternative that has been good please share.

Thanks in adavnce.

I've got them and am very happy with them.

not as intrusive as steps but with the tread plates they are safer than plain bars.

sturdy enough to stand on whilst washing roof etc...

position can be set to your liking in terms of how far they stick out.

noticed brackets that are underneath looking a bit rusty so would suggest a few coats of hammerite prior to fitting if time permits.

DM,

I previously inquired about adjustable bars like DaveC mentioned so my question is, what type are the these please?

@ disco42010 yes, all brackets and bolts included, you'll just need a socket set to fit them.

@ Robbie Rolling with laughter nope, just close to hedge but no touching!

@ conman69 the bearmach ones as discussed in this thread are adjustable. they allow a bit of in or out movement on the bracket so you can set the distance to your choice.

@disco42010 / @DaveC just picked up this thread as I'm considering the tube side steps for my D4, few years on have they been OK for you, any issues?
