Slow Filling Tank????
Over the past month or so I've noticed increasing difficulty in getting the tank to fill at a steady reasonably fast rate. I seem unable to find an angle/depth at which the nozzle will dispense continuously. This is at various different filling stations.
It used to be OK and I can't think of anything that's changed.
Anybody any ideas please?2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)

It's normally found in the rear cubby, where the jack is stored...it can easily slip further down,so have a root around if it isn't instantly obvious "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Oddly enough when I got a visit from my bro-in-law last week, he told me he's experiencing the same problem in his new Jaaaaaaaag XKR.
Takes him about 20 min to fill the tank because all the nozzles keep cutting out ..... and obviously, it's petrol not diesel!
Beautiful car though...... White convertible ...... and it growls!
Believe it's all sorted now though as he popped it into the dealer when he was visiting.
I'll need to ask what it was.

I don't know how flexible the the fuel pipework is on a Discovery, but I had this on a Golf, and the hose between the filler cap and the tank had become twisted, constricting the flow ?
Obviously if it's a rigid hose on the Discovery, this won't apply "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Is it possible to remove the misfuel device from the filler? I don't like the way the fuel nozzle won't go right in.

Have now checked the filler and found that the misfuel device has indeed been activated. While I begin the Great Yellow Tool Device Hunt (unfortunately this involves taking out the dog box so I have to await a helping hand) I thought I might enquire why the device should have activated given that I haven't even looked at a petrol nozzle let alone put one anywhere near my lovely diesel-guzzler?????2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)

Mine was activated when I picked up the Disco from the dealer and went to the nearest filling station. I had the same thought/concerns but I wondered if my D4 had been topped up with Diesel from a rigid-spout jerry can during its brief life-between-dealerships, hence activating the device?D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Is there no end to the tricks LR have built into the Discovery to prevent us slipping into complacent enjoyment of the vehicle's many virtues? 2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)
