2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Battery voltage

This topic has probably been covered many times, but I had the opportunity to spy on my battery with a Tinytag voltage logger.
2010 Discovery 4 HSE Battery voltage (measured at battery terminals)
Tinytag TK 4702
Max voltage = 14.84v

But there are a couple of very brief dips well below 12v. It is however the original battery.
Two biggest dips on Sunday mornings when the car was unlocked & doors left open for a long period.

And yes, I do a lot of short journeys................... Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 4H 2018.

2013 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Baltic Blue

The overnight loss of charge is a bit steeper and more linear than I would expect. Usually you see a drop over the first couple of hours as the surface charge is reabsorbed and then the voltage drop becomes very shallow from then onwards. Something is not quite right.

Nice use of a data logger.

Sample taken every 60 seconds.

There are a few extras fitted to the car I forgot to mention.
Two blackvue cameras with no power saver.
One massive subwoofer that is powered as soon as ignition is on. Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 4H 2018.
