LR Experience Day - Rockingham 12 April
Hi All,
Following the purchase of my Disco in December, I got to my surprise a voucher for an experience day. I just booked for 9am on 12 April, at my nearest venue which is Rockingham Castle.
Not sure what to expect, but looking forward to it none the less.
Anyone have feedback on this to share, especially specific to this site? Anyone else booked for this date?

Haven't been to that site but you will enjoy it, they will show you how much the D4 is actually capable of, OK all of the obstacles are designed to not cause too much trouble to the cars but there will be some sections that surprise you Just enjoy it and try and remember what they are telling you.Cheers Ian

I went there in January. It was awesome ! I had a fantastic time and I still can't believe what these cars can do.
When I went there was me in the disco and another guy in a freelander, I doubt they would have any more than 2 vehicles on the course at one time so you probably won't meet anyone from here.
You will love it. Enjoy !Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

Lucky you, we were told these are only available on new car purchases, not approved used cars. Yours is a 12 plate isn't it ?
Enjoy the day, it'll be good

I see the Rockingham Landrover experience vehicles nearly every day when I take my son to school looking all shiny before they have been off road.
And I have been on the site too, unfortunately running/crawling through the mud on an adventure run!!

Thanks all, am looking forward to it. Was told could take 2 guests along too, and they can drive if they have their documents, so getting some family/friends to tag along.
I was surprised to get it on an approved used purchase too, but i'm not complaining. My D4 is a 2012MY but on a 61 plate.

On busy days they can have up to 6 vehicles out on the Course which could include 2 Discovery's. I've been told that the scheme is being expanded so that anyone buying an Approved Used LR from a LR Dealer will be receiving an invite to a LR Experience 1/2 day, not sure when it starts though.
As others have said Rockingham is an excellent site.

Guess you are spot on mate, mine is approved used and I got a 1/2 day voucher - so it must have started at least towards the end of last year.

My complimentary session has come through too (for a '60 plate car); I've done Coniston Cold before and this time I'm going to their West Country Experience.
Thank you LR

So did this yesterday morning, and it was a great 1/2 day. Very impressed by what the Disco can do, even given the relatively dry day, it was nice to test our the HDC, the wading ability and the hill start assist. The axle twisters were pretty cool and teetering the disco on two diagonal wheels was quite fun. Have to say, the electronics of the modes are very clever, and really take a lot of the skill away from the drivers, basically point and shoot (not quite, but you get the idea).
Also spotted a disco4.com badge disco (light blue car) doing some rounds on the track - guess it may well be someone on here.
