I wonder how often a new turbo has been fitted when the cause of the problem was a split small hose? Hose changed when turbo done, customer none the wiser that big bill was unnecessary.

Thanks for the update although I still think mine is CFT as Ive had her 9 years and at 11 year old it has only been occurring with an overboost condition on and off for 2 years mainly down to the actuator but cannot seem to free off the travel i used to on this and although still partly free it doesnt like pressure as it goes into limp with an overboost condition.
Classikfan dont think you would get an overboost report with a split hose as this would create an underboost, though would be good to know if the IID tool could detect an orig map from an upgraded version but at 2 years old when i got mine its unlikely it had been mapped.
Better get saving D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

I didn't mean replace turbo for overboost , just diagnosing turbo problems when all along it was the small intercooler hose leaking.
