Heated seat fault
My drivers side heated seat hasn't worked since buying my D3 last December. I've looked on here to try and find the connector that I need to test but haven't found out exactly which one it is. I presume checking the reading on the said connector under the seat will tell me if it's the heater pad or not? None of the base or back heat up which I find a bit strange as I guessed one would work without the other?!
Today I've found this fault:
Right seat heater - General electrical failure - Circuit current below threshold.
I have never seen this fault before and I'm guessing it has something to do with my seat not working?!
Please help

The heated elements are connected in series. so the power has to to threw both elements to work.
If one of em has failed, I do think its the one that heats up your rear end that is gone. and the fault code description tells you that there is not enough current flowing, due to a break in the circuit.
Remove the 7mm bolt on the black connector on the seat.
Find a wire that are Blue with Pink trace, that is pin 4, pin 1 is black These wires is connected to the heating elements on the seat.. use a DMM and check what resistance you have. I bet its infinite.

Thank you for that description, it's just what I needed
I called LR the other day and the heated seat pad was over £100, any recommendations on where I can find one cheaper?! I'd rather replace than repair..........because I'm like that!!!
