on my d4, when I connect my iPhone 6 via cable to the iPod connection, bluetooth off, I get music playing and controllable fine. When I connect via bluetooth, no cable, music fine. When I have bluetooth on AND the cable connected, the phone appears as 2 devices in the My Music menu as you'd expect, but will only actually play from the bluetooth one - the other shows music tracks, but doesn't play them.
Any ideas what is going on? is this common?
thanks.....

AFAIK it will only play from one connection at a time ...why might you need it to play from both? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

don't need it to play from both- when connected by cable and bluetooth, it will only play music from bluetooth connection.

Not sure if this is relevant
Quote:PLAYING A PORTABLE DEVICE
If you are using a USB mass storage device or
approved iPod, you can control playback using
the touch screen controls.
If you are using a Bluetooth® device, you can
control playback using the touch screen, but
some controls are unavailable.
But I wouldn't expect it to play from both connection methods at the same time when BT is on 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
