I reinstalled the red cover in the removable tow ball thingy. I found it lying on the drive under the rear bumper this morning. Disco had not moved for three days. So why now? Fate or an inquisitive magpie? Must have got loosened when car was serviced a couple of weeks ago. Maybe if it's a loose fit I should leave it in the glove compartment. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Think bodsy andy foster or one of the other gurus should investigate an after market "tardis mod" for the glove box.

Put a cable tie or similar across it to make sure it doesn't come out.

Only problem with that is if the main key is stolen the universal key is locked in the car.

LED interior bulb upgrade
Fitted LEDs to replace the interior light bulbs. A bit brighter and a nice crisp light. I was worried it would be too blue as I've ended up with some horrible ones in the past. Just nice and white.
