Sad Goodbye
Well after 5 years of ownership and driving we parted company.
I have to say I think she will be missed -
We're staying loyal to the LR brand but not a discovery.
After going to look at a 64 plate D4 - I saw the D5 and despite the rear end really liked it.
SWMBO agreed - but after test driving the D4 & the D5 - she also liked the D5 and it's level of comfort.
So out of my price bracket
The boss then saw and drove a D-Sport - and opted for that.
The deal with SWMBO is it is only for 24-30 months then I'll be back in a proper Discovery
This really is a fantastic forum and community.
I will be lurking around so not going forever.
Many thanks to all who have me over the years with advice.

Took the roofrack and ladder off today, cleaned under the roof rails and polished roof

D3 went in to Main dealer to have the quick release hitch checked, back in wednsday to have it replaced with a fixed hitch FOC. Happy out as i do a lot of towing and i would have much more confidence in a fixed unit

Been cursing and swearing at the f***wit who kindly left a deep 12" long scratch above the fuel filler cap whilst I was walking the dog.
Took the old girl to Woody32 for a new compressor to be fitted...........old one was starting to play up, but at 11yrs and 183K miles it has had a good innings.
Excellent service from Advanced Factors and outstanding service as always from Woody32. ------------------------------

Fitted EGR blanks last night and dropped it off at a local indi today for a precautionary oil pump fitting.2007 Black Discovery 3 HSE TDV6 - Fully loaded. Extended roof rails, EGR blanks, side steps, Grabber ATs.

In recent days/weeks, sump guard fitted, light guards have gone on, new air vent duct installed and RAI fitted. Also finally got around to collecting the Engel, which was bought from another forum member and added stainless steel lashing eyes to the rack which, instead of paying Front Runner the princely sum of £9/pair, I got from a sailing accessories supplier for £10 for 10!!!
Appreciate that black accessories on silver is a bit marmite, but I likey. After a little trip to the Pyrenees later this month, I think a little DIY black pack is in order for the radiator grille, mirror caps and wheels.

Washed the car again lol. Has to be kept clean ! Plan to wax and polish tomorrow. Have to say can see me getting my wheels painted black , black looks good !
