Insurance Due 😔
Chaps,
I currently have both my motors D3 & Seat Leon Fr insured with Seat, the D3 is up for renewal in a cpl of weeks, Seat want near on £600 quid, 55 mth . I've been on moneysuper market.com, and can get it for half the price from some well known institutions........ Should I swap or stay with what I know. The policies from Seat and online quotes are more or less the same. I have more than 10 yrs no claims and have only claimed for a new screen.
Your thoughts chaps

I'm just about to renew my policy with esure.
I've been fortunate not to have ever made a claim with them so I've no idea on the level of service I would encounter if the worst should happen, but I can say that they where very good insuring the freelander and honouring my 6years ncd after a break of 38 months from my previous motor(most company's only allow 24 months grace....
So for that reason,as well as the cover and price I went with them and will be renewing the D3 with them which actually turns out to be £30 cheaper than the freebie was last year...
Currently on 8years maximum ncd with esure and this policy is going to cost £279 and a few pence.
£350 excess & windscreen cover with legal protection thrown in.......
Her in doors is also with esure (Vauxhall Astra) and saves only on her policy as the 2 cars are on multi car discount .Land Rover Discovery 3

Do you REALLY need to ask?
No brainier, move and what you save will more than pay for a service, 2-3 tanks of fuel etc etc
I had my renewal at the start of the month, I was with Privilege, their renewal was around £300 I went on a comparison site and guess what?
Privilege were the cheapest at £224 I phoned to query it, they said they would match it
I said thanks but no thanks, what happened to loyalty? A bit humming and hahing, so no definitive answer.
I left and went to Admiral £2 dearer at £226
Oh yes I only have 3 yrs ncb on this vehicle as use my full ncb on my work disco 2
As said give A Plan a call as wellD3 57 xs Stornaway grey

Saved over £500 on my trade policy by plucking a number out of the air for them to match
They wouldn't give me a petter price, unless I already had a different quote for them to match. Called back a couple of days later with an imaginary figureMy D3 Build Thread
I'm with A-Plan and just added caravan insurance as they were almot exactly 50% of the premium wanted by a sort-of-well-known national club in caravaning.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
Since my D3 is modified, I, thankfully, no longer have to use those blasted comparison sites as they can't quote anyway.
Basically, I phone up a few good insurers that I would be happy with and A-plan and leave it at that. I don't care if it's not the cheapest possible price as long as it is an acceptable price, gives sufficient cover and at least reasonable customer service.
As stated on another thread, I'm with NFU now but was with A-plan and would happily recommend them. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Iv found admiral was the best no one could come close to the price. 24yr old, 7yrs no claims, parked on my driver, fully comp and guaranteed no claims £382 for the year and down to £330 when its swopped to multicar in a few days..

Give A plan a try, I recently moved to them having saved nigh on £300 for the year.
I have the Disco, Defender and my Renault Twizy, all covered fully comp, both myself and SWMBO all fully comp on either vehicle,so we can jump in and out of either , whilst being correctly and appropriately insured.
Modifications declared and covered,/accounted for.
Rather than do the multi car thing, which was what I enquired about originally, I ended up with 3 individual policy's , 2 in my name, and the third in the wifes, that way she is still accruing her own no claims, as am i.
Used them many years ago for various highly modified road cars also, with no problems.

A plan were very helpful for me when quoting, but could not get a reasonable price, so I ended up,with Adrian flux and they also cover off road use. I left admiral as they were cheap but not covering off road.Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

How old are you? If you are over 50, which I am, I went for the Post Office over 50 policy, and with business use, protected no claims and one named driver, less than £200 all in.Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.
