Front recovery hook cover

Did anybody else find difficulty in putting the front hook cover on, those little plastic screw things are rubbish! Clearly need Slimer's front bash plate.

Any tips.

Of course, simply glue in a half round piece of plastic into the slot of the little plastic screw. Slimer however uses the end of his D3 key.

Mine are already chewed... need to give the catches a good push before you turn them I found. Helps them undo and do up.

The rear cover is much much easier to do and the latches are not half at tight.

I can see me needing a new cover soon if the latches are not available separately.

The latches are 20p each from any Ford dealer or your LR dealer and are simply cover clips.

By the way a little vaseline helps Shocked

Once nice thing about the winch installation is that cover is modified and permanantly screwed into place with the hook accesible.
