HDC and braking fault?

Hi

Have just bought a basic D3 manual 2006 which has been sitting around for a while.

It drives ok but the HDc light is amber, the brake light is amber.

Yesterday after stopping and starting again the lights went out but the abs kept locking on, until the lights came back on and it drive fine

Any ideas gratefully received
