Fault Code C1B00 any ideas??
Hi Everyone,
Over the last few thousand miles the Disco has thrown a wobbly four times and come up with the predictable 'special programs off', 'suspension lowering'....It happens whilst doing motorway speeds, just driving along not braking.
Anyway the FCR is coming up with the fault code C1B00 under the heading ABS/ETC. Steering Angle Sensor algorithm based failure: signal calculation failure: intermittent fault. But under the head on the FCR Steering Angle Sensor there are no faults.
So my question and my thinking is that maybe its a signal to the Steering Angle Sensor thats causing the fault. Maybe ABS sensor or speed sensor?
It hasn't had suspension work recently only new tyres on the front.
Any thoughts appreciated as about to do the 150K service. Also changing the track rods as last MOT came up with play, could this perhaps be a possible cause??
Cheers

I had exactly the same problem and it was fixed with a steering angle sensor recalibration!

Thanks for the replies, i have had a alignment but it was 30K and 1yr ago so probably just one of those things that might need doing. i was hoping as the FCR was listing the fault under ABS it might be something simple that i could do myself. But can't complain as its been nothing but reliable!

Hi Ceekay,
It was a while ago now but it seemed to rectify itself. I didn't have the steering recalibrated so if you're having the same problem maybe give it some time and see how it goes.
Good luck

Thanks for the update but I will be going around 750 miles in around 10 days and it might be a bit uncomfortable on the bump stops unless I stop every 10 miles to restart her. D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo
