Side protection bars best options
Looking to do away with fitted oem sidesteps and replace with tree slider or bars
Not keen on the look of the pro speed ones though look well made and robust
Quite like the look of the chunkier (probably chrome) LR bars but not sure they offer any protection at all
Any input, photos of other options welcomed
Ideally ones that fit straight on with no cutting of plastic trims etcD4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Like the look of those and would save me having to buy new trim after steps removed.
Who or where supplies theseD4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

What do they look like after being rattled off trees and rocks?A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

My opinion on the LR ones (mine came with them fitted from the factory) is that they don't help at all off road, rust once they have been scratched on rocks off road, and present a real hazard to passengers who try to use them as steps and slip off with inevitable consequences.
The ones in the photos above look more useful, and with grip-tape on the top can double as steps

Although they look great, I think that passengers would easily slip off them as they are cylindrical with no antislip.
@Robbie: Stunning motor there mate!

They are Definately the best for protection , one word of warning regarding grip tape I had that stuff on mine and in Summer when wearing shorts I took the skin off the back of my legs on numerous occasions!!!!!

Like the thought of that... It would say
' park next to me in the supermarket car park.... if you dare!'
Are they rock sliders as well as nerf/tree bars...? I cant see a solid rail under them?

I also have these fitted, will pm details.
Pictures in my gallery, they just look muddy not shiny.
Agree with the comment about the non-slip tape, it's visious but it works.Nick

I've not added the grip tape and my mother has yet to request it.
