Making a leap

I've had my D3 s from new in 2006 and it's only done 41k but I've got a fancy for a D4 ,
The question is will it be a noticeable change?

Yes mate, there is a difference in my opinion. The D4 certainly goes round corners better, and as above, that 3.0 + 8 speed gearbox is one hell of a combination. Do I miss my D3, yes she was a lovable old bus, do I regret changing to a D4 heck no.

I went from a 55 plate, manual Disco 3, to a 09, disco 4, 6 speed auto XS.
They are completely different cars. The power and torque of the 3 litre is unrecognisable next to the 2.7 litre disco 3.
The ride is a little firmer. As a result it does go around corners better, with less body roll. On the downside you feel more humps and bumps.
I have driven the 8 speed a couple of times. Didn't find it the revelation everyone else on here says it is. I like the in gear acceleration, of the 6 speed, without kick down.
Biggest change of the 4 over the 3, is the interior. The 4 just oozes class.

"Humps and bumps"! A bit of a turn of phrase. Ok speed humps not a huge difference. General road conditions, you will notice a difference!
