New SE ordered
So I've finally got my D4 on order. I've gone for the SE spec in Corris grey, my 6th grey car but just love the colour.
It will be the new MY16, I don't have a build date yet but hope to get it during August.
With 3 children, a dog and everything else that life brings the Disco is just perfect. Had one on a long test drive recently and we totally fell in love with it (though it was one of the XXV models).
Just need to figure how to pay for the diesel now, food is overrated I think.

Congratulation! That's you and I both with a long wait
Don't worry about the fuel consumption - it's the new Euro 6 version, which should be easily capable of mid 50's to the gallon. Around town. At least that's what I keep telling myself!!

MY16 build starts in June, not sure of the exact date or lead times. I've been told to expect mine late August or early September but hoping it might come forward when they start the build.

Whilst waiting for mine (est early September at the moment), I've had the use of a 15 plate MY15 SE for the last 5 days.
I've done approx 400 miles across a number of uses - heavy traffic, short town trips, A roads, motorway, and some green lanes. It carried 6 people to Wembley and back and managed it all with ease. I cannot think of anything else you could do all of that in with the same level of comfort and enjoyment. What's more it averaged over 32mpg which I was very impressed with as I wasn't particularly trying to conserve fuel.
I really don't want to give it back but don't have too long to wait till mine is ready, it has though helped confirm it was definitely the right choice. Not that I had any doubts.
