Seats enabling

Could HSE front seats be enabled on a Graphite model?

by HSE you meant?

what functions are you after?

electric / memory / heated with bolsters? or something else

having correct modules/loom attached or donor seats and IID Tool yes should be no problem

Memory and the basic adjustment for comfort, the Graphite seats are heated already

they need to be electric for memory
do you have bolsters on them?
if you wanna enable memory you need mem module installed, the door switch, as well as replace the looms under seat to relevant cablibg which is best done with seat outside the vehicle

I haven’t bought the seats yet, just looking at options, is it all plug and play with the module and loom? Or does it involve major surgery.

if you get seats with all functions it would also require CCF editing to make sure car knows what it is operating with

Stephen, did you have to modify wiring?

I have a GS and fitted HSE memory seats, the door buttons but I just get bursts. Heating and bolster inflation all works OK and the passenger seat is perfect.

I havent updated the CCF though, as I dont have an IID tool.

Mine worked without updating the files but I did it anyway as I have the IDD tool , but on my D3 it was a GS and when doing upgrades there was wiring that had to be added,

Yes its all a bit odd. To be honest, I gave up trying a while ago, and no one really knows the answer.

Famousfive was very helpful but I think he has the same issue.

The general consensus is that the D4 should not need extra wiring like the D3, but I dont think anyone is 100% sure!

But even though I have given up, I guess I should at least update the CCF

There are so many modules I get confused?

Which one is the memory module and I will go and look!

I have just been out and I am pretty sure the memory module is there.
It had a grey plug and a green plug and is tucked to the underside of the front seat cushion.
So what’s next?
